મસ્તક ઉપરથી મ્હારાં
બંદૂક-ગોળી સરકે,
વાતાવરણ ભરેલું
વાતાવરણ ભરેલું
ધિક્કારથી ને ભયથી.
તનતોડ બસ સમય
ને
ખાબોચિયાં રુધિરનાં,
ને
ખાબોચિયાં રુધિરનાં,
વિખરાયલાં પડ્યાં છે
કીચડમાં
ખાલી કવચો ટેટાનાં-
કીચડમાં
ખાલી કવચો ટેટાનાં-
ફૂટતા’તા.
ઊભો રહી વચોવચ હિંસાની,
આશા રાખું
સંહારનું સમાપન થાશે
છવાશે શાંતિ.

હું એવા દિવસ સ્મરીને
